(SA newspaper editor) MOLTENO
gospel band The Descendants Band has presented an album which is
set to surprise with a mix of music which will leave the
first-time listener eagerly anticipating the next track.
The band members are Ingrid Oeschger, Melissa Larter, Terrance
Murphy and Gareth Bunge.
The band's latest release, Hear No Evil. See No Evil. Speak No
Evil, comprises 12 tracks with ispirational messages for young
and old, but the youth in particular should enjoy I'm Alive. The
latter track, with vibey guitar and drum accompaniment, has a
message about the brevity of life which should provide food for
thought.
I had a few favourites among the mix: running free, no more
pain, which also features Paul Wilson from Southern Gypsey Queen
and in particular peace always everywhere.
What struck me about the CD was the amazing versatility of The
Descendants band - lead singers are mixed throughout and the
various tracks take the listener on a rollercoaster ride through
simple, sweet melodies to songs with rock overtones.
The title track has a slight country and western vibe with great
guitar sounds rounding off what is among a range of songs with
lyrics which also attest to the songwriting talent in the midst
of The Descendants.
Those deciding to invest in the CD will not be disappointed. |

INSPIRATIONAL: The Descendants Band of Molteno's CD offering

I was highly entertained and
enjoyed An
inspirational, feel-good album
music which is mostly soft on the
ear which will have
listeners clamouring
but also appeals to those with a
taste for more - I see The
Descendants
for the more vibey tunes.
